BE-Toothpaste 100g

Beaphar toothpaste is fluoride-free, liver-flavoured and contains two active enzymes (protease and glucose oxidase). Protease breaks down the protein structure of dental plaque before it can harden into tartar. Glucose oxidase converts glucose into harmless gluconic acid. During this process, hydrogen peroxide is produced, which has an antibacterial effect and kills bacteria in dental plaque. Zinc and sodium tripolyphosphate have also been added; they bind calcium and help prevent plaque from developing into tartar.

Composition: purified water, propylene glycol, glycerin, sorbitol, silicon dioxide, sodium tripolyphosphate, hydroxyethylcellulose, egg powder, zinc citrate trihydrate, titanium dioxide, sodium carboxymethylcellulose, potassium sorbate, sodium benzoate, enzymes (protease, glucose oxidase), pork liver powder.

Directions for use: first lift your pet’s lips to expose the teeth. Encourage your pet by praising and reassuring it generously. Once your pet is used to having its mouth touched from the outside, move your finger back and forth along its teeth. When it is comfortable with the mouth being touched on the inside as well, repeat the same familiarisation procedure using the toothbrush and toothpaste. Start by squeezing a small amount of toothpaste onto your finger and allow your pet to lick it off (Beaphar toothpaste is liver-flavoured, so most cats and dogs like it). Once your pet is used to the paste, introduce the toothbrush by letting it lick the paste from the brush at first. When your pet accepts this too, it’s time to combine all training elements: start by brushing a few teeth and gradually increase the area until all teeth can be brushed.

Warnings: for use in animals only. Keep out of reach of children. Do not allow your pet to chew the toothbrush. Do not use toothpaste intended for people on animals, as it contains foaming agents and may irritate their stomach.

Ensure your pet has access to fresh drinking water after tooth brushing.
